Arena For Rent
Our Indoor Arena

All the details:
Calling all horse owners, drill teams or driving fans who are tired of riding around in the bitter wind and slippery snow! Bring your mount(s) to our fabulous new 66' x 180' indoor arena!
Bonuses you will find only at Great Strides:
- Easy-to-find location between I 70 and I 270 in Damascus, MD
- Fairly level gravel trailer access for all types of trailers, completely plowed when it snows
- Bright, shadow-less arena lighting
- Mirrors soon to be installed
- Heated observation lounge with kitchen and bathroom
- Footing to die for - quiet, fluffy sand/rubber/fiber mix, dragged every other day - NO dust!!
- Few other people to ride around - our lesson program is fairly small
- Heated, matted wash stall in the barn just 15 yards away provides hot and cold water
- Jumps stored inside are available for those who would like to set them up
- In the summer, 6 large windows and doors open to invite a strong cooling breeze
- There is even a boom box, which you can play your CDs on while you ride
- We have miles of trails right behind our property, with woods, fields and streams
- In addition to the indoor, we also have a 90' x 200' (approx) outdoor with sand footing
- Best of all, the folks here are so friendly, you will want to ride here every day!
And only a few rules:
- Helmets are required when mounted
- Please, no dogs
- Due to insurance reasons, outside instructors are not permitted to teach at Great Strides
** Our mission is to promote emotional healing and growth in partnership with horses. Therefore, we do not tolerate abuse in any shape or form; anyone who does not respect that will be asked to leave immediately without refund

$15 per person per hour
Group rates negotiable
Those interested should contact Great Strides at (301) 253-1166. Scheduling will depend on when the arena is not being used for Great Strides' therapeutic lessons.
Please pass this on to anyone you know who may want a great place to school and/or acclimate their young show prospects!
Great Strides also offers equine facilitated mental health services to individuals experiencing emotional difficulties. We also give lessons on our therapy horses to our volunteers. Please ask about our services!
