Cat Riches, LGSW
Cat received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Goucher College in Towson, MD. She received her Master's in Social Work from The University of Maryland School of Social Work, in Baltimore, MD. Cat is currently a school-based therapist at Villa Maria School at the Lillie M. Jackson Center in Baltimore, MD.
Cat has over 15 years of riding and horse experience. She has also taught summer camps, group lessons, and private lessons at Columbia Horse Center. She has also coached children for competitive horse shows. While in college and as a child, Cat also competed on the horse show circuit.
In 2000 Cat became a North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA) certified instructor. While at Goucher she interned at Great Strides where she learned a new more conscious way of working with the horse. She has been working here ever since. Cat has worked with many students at Great Strides helping them learn about horses and about themselves!
