Great Strides is offering a 12 session therapeutic learning group for adopted children in grades 6-7-8. 

This group will focus on exploring issues of attachment, identity, loss, and personal growth through specially selected activities with our intuitive horses.  Activities will not center on riding, though some mounted activities may be incorporated. No special riding equipment or attire is needed.

This group is best suited for middle school students who can work cooperatively in a group setting, and follow directions.  Let our skilled horses help build self-esteem and increase confidence and awareness as we interact and learn from them!

Co-led by Terry A. Lewis, LCSW-C and Mary Kaminski, counselor intern.

Wednesdays  February 29, 2011 - May 23, 2012

Times:

5-7 pm (2 hours)

Fees:

$60 per person per session.  There will be 12 sessions total. (This is a first time group rate special. Our normal rate is $75/session)
