If you'd like to make a tax-deductible donation of new or used (but usable) tack, clothing or other horse supplies, please contact us to see what items we are currently accepting. If we cannot use your items, we will recommend other agencies that may be looking for what you have!

For example, your donation of just $25 would purchase: one bag of feed for Linus; two cones for the arena; or a box fan to cool our horses in the summer.

Your donation of just $50 would purchase two Kitty Carriers to take the kitties to the vet; branch loppers for trail and fence clearing; or a set of side reins for Sunny and our vaulting class.

A donation of $100 would purchase a tall mounting block for our shorter riders; 4 blocks (from the Blok System) to help our riders learn to jump; or a cordless drill.

For $150 we could purchase a chain saw for fence mending and trail clearing; a set of jump standards; or joint supplements for our 4 legged therapists.

Be a Horse Sponsor! For as little as $500 per year you can sponsor one of our therapy horses. Sponsorships are payable on a schedule of your choice monthly through annually. Or, for $50, sponsor one of our barn kitties.

Consider a donation to the Jude Fund for Alternative Medicine (JAM Fund). Established by volunteer Mary Riley Sanders in memory of her sister, this fund provides our therapy horses with emergency and specialized medical services, such as acupuncture and massage.

Making a donation to our therapeutic riding program is a fitting tribute or memorial to a loved one. Ask your family and friends to consider a gift to Great Strides to commemorate your birthday, graduation, bar/bat mitzvah or other occasion!

We will also work with donors to arrange for Charitable Remainder Trusts or other major gifts. Contact us for details.

As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt agency your donations of equipment or funds are deductible to the full extent allowable by law. Please contact us or consult your tax advisor for details.
